Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria

Chris is the Director and Chief Executive of Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, overseeing the picturesque Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and the native plant garden and nature reserve, Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, incorporating the award-winning Australian Garden. In addition to innovative programming and events, the Gardens is home of the National Herbarium of Victoria and associated science and conservation research and activities. Chris brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in senior positions within the sector for over 25 years. He is a current Board member of Botanic Gardens Australia and New Zealand Ltd (BGANZ) and previous Deputy Chair of Casey Cardinia Tourism. Chris’ qualifications include a Bachelor of Science with Honours and Graduate Diploma of Land Rehabilitation.
