Highly experienced, innovative, and solution-driven senior executive with proven track record working in both complex scientific, environmental, commercial, and regulated government cultural institutions of national significance. Successfully leading diverse and challenging projects in high visitation sites to deliver positive transformation and strategic change. 

Currently, Denise has the responsibility of leading the incredible Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust into the future by advocating for the science, conservation, horticulture, education, recreation, and visitor programs that enrich the lives of our local communities and global audiences.

As cultural and scientific institutions, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Domain, Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan and Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah contribute to providing solutions to critical environmental challenges facing all life on Earth and make up one of the nation’s premier botanical research organisations, the Australian Institute of Botanical Science.

Prior to her appointment as Chief Executive, Denise was responsible for driving the strategic program for the Botanic Gardens & Centennial Parklands, leading the award-winning major capital infrastructure program across 1100 hectares including the multi award winning Ian Potter Children’s WILD PLAY Garden and the Calyx. 

Denise holds a Master of Business Law, A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Communications and is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Environment and Climate Emergency.
